Darkness is slowly spreading across Torbea, as an army of the Dead lead by Max Von Mähmaschine and his son Jack makes its way from the south, towards the capital of Breesburg, razing villages and raising the dead as they go.

Dick and Jules find themselves relentlessly pursued by the guard, who are forcing them towards the capital, where they are imprisoned and beaten for their crimes.  With the knowledge that could save the continent and the need to save his two friends, Mallik races to the capital to pass the message to the King himself.  Captured and facing the noose he has to persuade them that the dead are coming.

As Torbea starts to fall to darkness and Breesburg comes under siege, Mallik, Dick and Jules are pressed into the service of the King, with the understanding, that if they survive the battle, they may be pardoned, but if they don't fight, they will be hung.

Can Mallik, Dick and Jules survive the battle and be pardoned to steal another day?  Or are they destined to walk Torbea with the rest of the dead and damned?
